September 2017

Mayil eNieuws

Dearest eNews readers everywhere,

On the 6th of September it will be exactly five years ago that Geert left his body in the manner of a true yogi. These have been stirring years for us, in which nevertheless a lot has been accomplished at Geert’s non-profit organisation, Mayil.

Since the end of 2012, there have been:
-        Two international trips to Poland; several trips to France
-        Five fairs
-        No less than 93 lectures
-        Eleven new publications in Dutch
-        Two new books in English

Our publications would not be possible without all those people taking part in our activities - those buying books, sending donations (small or large), and of course the volunteers who help by translating the texts or correcting translations. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all of you. It is thanks to each of you that 'Morya's mission', can stay active and is even able to grow and slowly blossom!

It’s been 32 years ago that Master Morya started his collaboration with Geert. Today, this precious gift to humanity is still in its infancy, with at least 27 still unpublished books in Dutch and countless other projects and translations which will eventually carry Master Morya’s wisdom around the world. It is a great joy for us to realize that almost six thousand people across many countries read this newsletter every month and in this way take part in this grand adventure.

With cordial regards from Lydia, Marie and Laura

Meditation for the full moon of 6th September 2017

Master Morya,

"When your attention for what you are working on begins to wane, it’s important that you take yourself in hand. This is not always self-evident; it needs training and practice. Don’t be too lax with yourself, don’t think: ‘it’s not all that important.’ No, it is important that you can concentrate and can retain this concentration for a while, because in this way you are learning to look at things as they really are.

But besides concentration you also need to have the right outlook on things. If you are busy with something, you should realize: ‘this is important for me; I think this is important.’ Because otherwise you shouldn’t be doing it; simply don’t do it. If it’s not important, then what are you busy doing?

Little things can have a great significance. For instance, preparing a meal for someone can be very important. And if it isn’t important, then realize you should perhaps be doing other things that are important. Once you’ve started with something try to put all your feeling into it, give it your full attention, give it your all and say: ‘This is my work and this is what I'm doing.’ At that moment your ‘I’ dissolves, you step outside of time and know: ‘look, here I am and this is what I have to do’, and then it all becomes one whole. You nearly lose yourself in the work, but you receive so much in return because there is a unity between your feelings and the things with which you are busy."
