February 2019

Dearest eNews readers,

On February 20, 2012 -  seven years ago now - it was Geert's 68th birthday. So for the inspiration today I would like to take a look back at his life. Geert was extremely thorough in everything he did, he never did things just so-so but always went to the limit. He spent a great deal of time examining his thoughts because he wanted to understand the Divine as much as is possible with the human mind. He was always looking to find the proper wording for the things of the soul.

He eventually went beyond that, or rather he kept on looking and applied himself to contacting his higher consciousness and from there going even further into other levels of the inner human and into the cosmos. In the meantime Master Morya came on his way and after about a decade communicating 'privately' with the beloved Master, he began conveying messages to people, something he would continue doing for the rest of his life. Tens of thousands of personal messages and hundreds of general messages in less than twenty years of public life. Master Morya asked him to give courses and this he always did with groups. Also the Avatar Swami Premananda had an important place in Geert's life, and this was a very intense and beautiful contact.

Geert’s life was a life of service.

It was the same too in daily life...he gave his all. He was always there for the children. In the kitchen as well as in the garden he was creative and exuberant. Trees, shrubs, and hundreds of types of roses went through his hands...selected by him for their fragrance, a certain colour or some other feature. And every time we moved house, there was always some good friend who would persuade him to lay a terrace.  As I saw him working I would wonder how much free time we would have to enjoy sitting there and how long we would live in that house. Towards the end of his life he would take a chair with him to work in the garden, so that he could stop and rest every now and then.

Until the last week before his passing Geert never dwelt on the fact that he was going to die. He was not attached to property or money or what people would say or think about him. For his whole life he was devoted to truth. His goal was the highest truth and he would not allow himself to be misled, not by himself, not by the world. eRegards from Lydia

Meditation for the full moon of 19th February 2019

Master Morya,

"I always advise people to go slowly. By that I mean that they should look to see what it is they really want, what they plan to do in life, what kind of responsibilities they are ready to accept and how they want to go forward.

There are always reasons to stop and reflect upon your life, and to ask yourself: ‘What am I actually doing and is this really what I want?’  If you are now in a certain life, it’s because somehow you wanted it, because somehow it was your desire and you asked for it.  You may not remember this, but that’s the way it happens.  Your desires shape your reality.  By stepping into your own reality, you are given things you desired and you must then dare to live with those things.

Often people are placed in a life they don’t at all like, that they find neither good nor beautiful, and then they may begin to fight against their own life. The first thing they have to try to realise is: ‘What did I desire of life and how is my life now?’ If afterward, for instance, you would realise you are in the wrong life, you must re-examine your desires and try to see which ideas are carrying your desires.  Then you will re-create your life;  but it’s important to go to work within yourself very precisely, slowly and clearly.

So don’t accept everything, and also don’t want to live with everything.  You don’t even have to accept everything that is in your life; that’s much too much. Look to see what is good for you and, if you make mistakes, don’t get depressed, because you can learn from your mistakes; but dare to look and see what is good for your own life.  Dare to experience goodness, strive for goodness, strive to achieve good things in your life and try to do things in the correct way.

When you are working correctly, that is to say when you are advancing slowly, then something happens which could be explained by saying that a desire gains in strength, that in a certain sense it is becoming able to carry the energy with which it is being charged. A desire creates a certain energy and that particular energy allows you to be able to deal with that desire. Assume, for instance, that you desire to be loving; then the energy ‘love’ is sent to your desire.  This makes you capable of handling that ‘more’ and you will see yourself becoming a happy person, and that is, of course, the intention.

You must dare to be happy in life, and this you can only do by going slowly. Don’t run before you can walk. First deal with the things within you, in order to get to that happiness, step by step, because in that way you will be in solidarity with other people who are also searching for that happiness.  If, in your life, you dare to achieve this solidarity, you’ll realise that by going slowly you can achieve very much, because you are taking the necessary steps."
